Recorded entirely alone, in my basement.

It's hard to express exactly how much this song means to me, given it is essentially the first thing musically that I have ever written to completion. It took me quite a while to get it to this state, even if there's obviously no semblance of production here. But I sincerely hope you all enjoy it!

As far as the actual *meaning* of the track, at face value it's primarily about Lycanthropy, and both the internal and external struggles that go along with it. Personally, it serves as a partial allegory to me being a trans woman, and the struggle to put up with the fact that society hates my guts, even more than my own dysphoria seems to. Put bluntly, of course. I'm sure there are more broad lyrical interpretations people can make about struggling against their instincts or emotions too. It also may or may not have been partially inspired by Kagerou from Touhou (She's a werewolf and also on the cover art woo). By the way, Kagerou from Touhou is also trans and gay.

Not sure how well any of that comes across lyrically given this is also my first attempt writing lyrics, but despite being pretty cheesy they're hopefully still decent hahah

Hopefully this will be the opening track of a cool EP (or album, if it ends up being long enough) that I do in the future, if it ever comes to fruition. The second song is like, a quarter of the way written at least, and the others are conceptualized, so fingers crossed I guess.
